The Unity Jacket
The ‘Unity Jacket’, designed by the elusive fashion designer Kumiko Tanaka is an icon of both fashion and politics in Tarogramma. It came into existence during a period of tension, caused by rising inequality between regions and tribes. First worn by protest leaders from City Infinite X, its popularity quickly spread, becoming an almost ubiquitous symbol of a push towards equality and representation.
The design features the representative symbols of each tribe and region, rendered in a realistic style. Wearers believed the jacket demonstrated their belief in the end of hierarchy and fair treatment for all. After Tanaka’s death, the Unity Jacket became a much sought after collectors item and is now owned by only the most wealthy and elite citizens of Tarogramma.
